Position: Occupational or Physio therapist for a Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapy Role, Child Development ServiceContract: Permanent, Full time (1FTE) – 1 position availableSalary: Allied, Public Health & Technical MECA, Allied, Public Health & Technical Pay Scale ($77807 - $107600)Location: Gisborne Hospital, Child Development ServiceAre you interested in working with children with developmental challenges and their whānau in a community focussed service using an equitable and transdisciplinary model of practice?Applicants must be a NZ registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with:· A current practising certificate· A thorough knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and a sensitivity to different cultures· A current, clean drivers’ license· A ‘whatever it takes’ approachWe are seeking therapists with a knowledge of a range of disabilities, assessment tools and therapies appropriate for children.

However, if you don’t and are keen to develop paediatric skills and learn how to work in a transdisciplinary model with whānau we can offer you a unique opportunity to participate in comprehensive education and on the job training.Our Tairāwhiti Way of Working involves working collectively across agencies to enable whānau to flourish.
