Work Experience & Qualification: Bachelor’s qualification or 5 years work experience required.

Key Responsibilities of the role to discuss during interview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To diagnose and repair all Automotive Mechanical work.
  • To diagnose faults in vehicles and machinery.
  • To dismantle - fit replacement parts and reassemble.
  • To make adjustments and repairs where necessary.
  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanism.
  • Carryout scheduled servicing and tune up.
  • Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and assemble to produce machines and equipment.
  • Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.
  • When working on customer's vehicle all care should be taken to protect vehicle from damage, once work is completed it will be left in a clean and tidy condition. Guard cover, seat covers, and floor mats must be used.
  • Upon completion of service/repair test drive the vehicle to verify the result of work done.
  • Work bays shall be cleaned on completion of a job.
  • All workshop equipment shall be used in a safe responsible way so as not to contravene the Health and Safety Act and in accordance with manufacturer instructions. All equipment shall be used with due care.
  • To always wear all personal safety clothing and use all protective safety equipment.
  • To follow all health, safety and security procedures established by the company.
  • Willingly undertake all training required by the company.
  • To train other employees as directed by the employer.
  • To be prepared to take additional tasks and responsibilities as reasonably required by the company.
  • To help in cleaning the premises.
  • To always recognize that you are a representative of the company and act in a responsible manner.
