Backend Developer

This is done on a roster system.

The ideal candidate has knowledge in media and streaming plus working with backed technologies such as NestJS, PostgresDB, MongoDB, DynamoDB, shell scripting, Linux and cloud computing (AWS) and Event-Driven Architecture.

• Collaborate with the team to design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems
• Write clean, efficient and well documented code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in prdocution and development environments
• Pariticipate in code reviews and contribute to team development best practices
• Documenting existing code and services so clients can easily use them
• Work weekends to support our livestreaming customers
• Analizing media streaming metrics to prevent bad user experience and improve streaming quality

• Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS), including but not limited to S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, Elasticache, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, ALB and NLB.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Content Distribution Networks.
• Knowledge of caching methodologies using in-memory databases and services such as CloudFront.
• Proficiency in documenting endpoints and SDKs with Swagger and JSDoc.
• Familiarity with agile practices and methodologies sucha as Kanban, Scrum, constant Peer Reviews, Stacked Pull Requests using graphite.dev to work in a CI/CD environment by delivering features or bug fixes quickly and in small batches of fully functional tested code.
• Understanding of Unit and E2E testing.
• Knowledge of web development principles such as RESTful API design, authentication and security.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
