Tax Administrator Role based in Rangiora
My client is seeking a dedicated Tax Compliance Administrator to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate tax return preparation and client management. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of tax compliance processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Finalising Tax Returns:
- Verify the accuracy of figures and IR4J/IR10 forms.
- Combine documents using Nitro PDF and prepare client communication.
- Email finalised returns and correspondence to clients.
E-filing Tax Returns:
- Submit signed tax returns through the IRD portal.
- Address and correct any returns that are rejected.
Drafting Returns with No Accounts:
- Prepare tax returns for clients with portfolios from financial institutions.
- Send drafts to partners for review, finalise approved returns, and dispatch to clients.
IRD Data & Tax Notices Support:
- Assist with IRD data management and tax pooling updates.
- Support the team with tax notices, particularly during peak periods.
Client IRD Queries:
- Respond to incoming client calls, assessing their queries with empathy.
- Take appropriate actions to resolve issues, coordinating with internal teams or the IRD as needed.
IRD Communication:
- Handle incoming calls from the IRD, determining the necessary steps to assist clients.
- Collaborate with drafters or relevant partners to address client concerns.
ACC Queries:
- Manage client queries regarding ACC invoices, liaising with ACC to resolve issues.
Tax Pooling Management:
- Set up clients in the Tax Traders portal and advise on payment processes.
- Ensure timely tax transfers to the IRD and address client enquiries post provisional tax letter distribution.
Directors and Staff Support:
- Assist with queries related to tax returns, portfolios, and IRD balance printing as needed.
General Administration:
- Manage client emails and file tax returns from email to client files.
- Print charge-out sheets weekly and ensure updates are made.
- Previous experience in tax compliance or accounting.
- Proficiency with tax software (Xero).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
