Motel Receptionist/ Housekeeper required.

About the role.
The Fairway Motel and Apartments is a 24 roomed motel based in Wanaka NZ.
We are seeking a friendly and motivated dynamic individual. Who will be responsible to oversee daily operations of the Motel 3- 4 days a week 30-40hrs per week. This will include school holidays and weekend work.
This dual role will include you overseeing all motel operations, including front desk tasks, motel booking systems, Housekeeping, inhouse laundry services, responding to guest reviews, follow up on any maintenance issues.

This position requires you to support and be part of the Housekeeping Team, Our team is small, so this is a multi-faceted and hands on role across all operations, We are looking for someone capable with computers (or willing to learn) and who has some experience in motel admin/reception, housekeeping and reservations systems, we are also willing to support and train the right person.

You must collaborate with the motel owner to help with all aspects of the motels daily operations including and not limited to marketing strategies to ensure continual improvement in guest review sites and occupancy rates, and assist with pricing strategies.

You will need to be: Highly responsible and reliable with drive and ambition, and a high level of energy.

You must have excellent customer service skills and ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction.
Taking on guests concerns with an air of professionalism and calmness.

This role requires you to be everywhere at once this is not just solely one position, its multiple roles that you need to be able to quickly adapt and change to.

You must have excellent written and verbal English skills but have the ability to communicate with foreign guests via google translation.

The ideal Candidate:

  • The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, you must ensure you deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive impression of the Motel.
  • An experienced housekeeper who wishes to expand their knowledge and skills to work towards a motel management level position.
  • A receptionist who is interested in managing all aspects of the business and is happy to clean on most days to ensure the housekeeping team works efficiently and at a high standard.
