Job Description:

  • Cut, trim, bone, and portion meat accurately according to customer needs and company standards.
  • Prepare standard meat cuts (beef, lamb, pork, chicken, etc.) for display and sale.
  • Ensure correct storage, rotation, and labeling of all meat products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and tools.
  • Monitor the quality and freshness of meat to ensure high product standards.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety procedures.
  • Provide advice to customers on meat cuts, cooking methods, and portion sizes.
  • Manage inventory and report stock levels or issues to the supervisor.
  • Operate equipment such as meat slicers, bandsaws, grinders, and vacuum packers.

Job requirement:

  • Please have at least two years relevant work experience, or
  • Certificate NZQA Level 3or above
  • Be able to work in a team
