About the role

We have two Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position opportunities available in our Emergency Department (ED) on the Wellington Regional Hospital (WRH) campus.

  • Enhance health outcomes for patients with isolated injury and single system illness by working directly with them to clinically assess, treat and provide care with education and then discharge within agreed clinical guidelines with delegated authorises. This is supported by oversight from an SMOs and NPs
  • Improve the effectiveness of care by informing and utilising evidence based nurse-led solutions to meet patient needs within the ambulatory care team
  • Act as a nursing resource to the Department particularly in the area of wound care management and single isolated limb trauma management
