Sales & Marketing Manager - Auckland

We are an import, export and distribution business focused on quality FMCG brands. We operate from two sites and distribute products throughout New Zealand, as well as the various neighbouring islands.

This is a permanent, 40 hours per week position. Pay rate is $30 - $40. In this role, you will:

  • Visiting existing customers and managing relationship
  • Investigating customer complaints
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies
  • Setting sales targets to maximise sales and customer loyalty
  • Building relationship with customers through effective communication
  • Understanding their needs and presenting solutions that aligns with our offerings
  • Planning route and operating car to travel to customers
  • Managing sales cycle from initial contact to delivery, working with internal teams
  • Understanding and articulating broad range of products
  • Analysing sales and customer feedback to improve customer satisfaction
  • Addressing and resolving any product or service related issues
  • Making ongoing recommendation for improvements in process and procedures
  • Having a full knowledge of your retailer's internal structure and the products they sell
  • Following Health & safety and other safety procedures and reporting incidents and hazards

We operate 7 days a week, and so the ideal candidate must be flexible to operate varying shifts, which includes weekends. Given the nature of the role, whilst you will be based in Auckland, travel outside of Auckland is required for at least 10-15 days a month, with overnight stays as required.

To fill this position you must be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Must have clean Class 1 license
  • Bachelor's degree or above qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to secure new business
  • Be honest, flexible and reliable
  • Able to plan and manage time and work towards a common goal
