Warehouse Assistant and Driver

We are looking for Warehouse Assistant and Driver based in our Warehouse and distribution facility in Auckland.

About the Role

A role in our Auckland team is now available - Driving our Delivery Trucks/Van and providing exceptional service every step of the way.

This role is an essential part of delivering on our customer promises, so we are looking for a great all-rounder who works well in a team and can get the job done professionally.

Pay rate- $24

You will be required to:

• Package and dispatch orders as part of our team.
• Manage and rotate stock.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Load & deliver orders to customers using our delivery van.
• Support the trade counter with walk-in customers during busy periods.
• Redistribute product to other branches.
• Liaise with couriers.
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Provide support to the operations team as and whenever needed.
• Heavy lifting is required up to 30kg to fulfill this role

What we are looking for:

• A clean manual/Auto driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to handle a forklift.
• Previous warehousing or pick/pack experience is an advantage but not necessary as full training will be given.
• Multitasking ability.
• Able to get along with most people
• Good communication skills
• Competent at prioritising work
• Calm under pressure

Your key responsibilities will include:

• General warehouse duties.
• Palletising and putting away stock
• Container unloading & inwards goods receipting.
• Stock replenishment.
• Quality control checks.
• Planning routes with drivers and supporting the loading of trucks
• Assisting drivers with the delivery of orders
• Stock picking & packing.
• Customer service.
• Preparing freight bookings.
• Supporting monthly stock-takes.

• Should have a 3 year of relevant experience or a relevant qualification.
• A clean manual/Auto driver’s license as well as
• A Fork Lift License is a must requirement.
• A positive, can-do attitude and good work ethic
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role
• Knowledge of NZ workplace health & safety requirements
• Ability to work well in a busy, close-knit team
