We are a leading provider of support services for individuals with diverse needs, including disabilities, health conditions and elderly individuals requiring our assistance. tlc4u2 is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.
We are looking for Support Workers in the Kerikeri and Mangamuka area. Our clients live in his family home and receives care 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. He has a dedicated and supportive team attending to him. He has a range of complex conditions and needs.Various hours available from Monday to Sunday, sleepover and wake over shift. The applicant require flexibility in covering for the shift.
We are looking for a special Support Worker who is energetic, willing to learn, and has a caring fun and compassionate nature to fit into the current team of Support Workers who provide care to this client and support him to achieve his goals and enjoy his daily life activities.The ideal candidate needs to have flexibility in covering mixture of shifts, and have a good attitude and a willingness to learn are essential attributes.
Experience in the disability setting is desirable but not essential as full training in the support needs of the client will be provided. The duties will be assisting with all personal cares, feeding, and working with client and therapists to extend abilities, supporting outings in the community, and completing daily house hold tasks.
The successful person will also need to meet the following criteria:- Be reliable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Hold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable car
- Clear spoken English
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $24.08 per hour up to $29.98 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, and paid travel. Wake over shift is paid at normal rate.
