Job Description
Our Noel Leeming Services team are changing the customer experience game by providing a full end to end service. We rely heavily on our services team to ensure that customers are getting the right solutions through live demonstrations, support and advice, right through to the delivery, installation and setup of tech solutions in homes and workplaces.
This opportunity would suit someone who loves technology, is customer focused and is driven to improve the whole experience. Your excellent communications skills coupled with your ability to trouble shoot problems is critical. Equally important is your proactive ‘get it done’ attitude and work ethic.
This role will be primarily based out on the field. The majority of the work will be delivering and setting up customers products in their homes, the other will be in-store on the shop floor, providing solutions to customers and assisting in the setup and formatting of their devices.
As a key member of our Services team, you'll provide top-notch customer service while efficiently handling Tech Solutions jobs.
No two days are the same in this hands-on role. You'll set up PCs, TVs, and smart home devices, install networks, transfer data, troubleshoot issues, deliver product and educate customers. You'll also assist third-party partners like One NZ and Nova.
You'll work across various environments, from homes and businesses to construction sites, schools, and stores. Travel may be required, sometimes outside your region, with a fully equipped work vehicle provided.
Flexibility is key - you’ll work solo, in teams, or support large installations. Staying productive means rescheduling jobs when possible, supporting teammates, and collaborating with local stores for urgent requests.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining tools and vehicles, stocktaking, meetings, and ongoing development.
Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:- Product Installation, building, assembly, configuration and troubleshooting
- To provide training and support on a wide variety of products and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network problems and manage network security.
- Physical installation of products such as wall mounting (training will be provided).
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are left completed to a high professional standard.
- Supporting quality control checks and tasks with relevant systems and process
- Follow booking systems and processes.
- Provide First Call Resolutions for our customers.
- Building of successful internal and external relationships
- Use of a company vehicle for delivery of services where required.
- Use of a company phone to communicate effectively with a broad range of customers
- To always conduct self in a professional manner, this also covers personal presentation, demeanour and driving Company vehicles.
- To undertake any other duties as allocated from time to time.
- Provide training support in form of workshops for groups and businesses.
- Maintains safe, organised and neat work areas.
As driving a vehicle is a vital component to delivery of Tech Solutions Services, there is a requirement to maintain a Full and clean New Zealand Driver’s license and have the ability to operate one of our company vehicles.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Two years of relevant work experience or relevant qualification
- Confidence to set up and install technology
- Superior interpersonal and customer support skills, with the ability to adjust technical language to suit the customer
- Driven, and confident in trouble shooting problems.
- Willingness to continue developing your career through onsite training and accreditations
- clean full New Zealand Drivers license
