Health and Safety Advisor
The Job
We are looking for a H&S Advisor to help maintain a positive safety culture. This is a hands-on role that involves providing on-site training and support to construction site staff to ensure they are competent, capable, and able to carry out their health and safety responsibilities.
Bringing a collaborative approach, you will work closely with managers and staff to support them in understanding their H&S responsibilities.
The role includes communicating operational safety requirements, incident responses, monitoring remedial actions and control measures, and general reporting and administration.This role is available due to a staff member moving to Australia. The processes are set up and well established, they are looking to maintain the current standard but welcome innovation in the role.
About You- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships
- Steel manufacturing and or Construction industry experience
- Hold a H&S qualification or equivalent experience
- Enthusiastic problem solver
- Team player who can also work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Hold a current driver's license, as site visits are an integral requirement of this role
