Telecommunications Technician

Please note: To apply for this role you, MUST have a minimum of 12 months experience in UFB industry. MUST have completed mandatory training to work in the field

• Installing Aerial and underground cables
• Experience of the UFB rollout
• Knowledge of underground service location.
• Can read and interpret plans and designs
• Health and safety etiquette
• Must have a full drivers license, be legally allowed to work in NZ and agree to pre-employment checks.
• Maintain Chorus standards and network performance.
• able to work independently and without supervision
• Comfortable working at heights
• Splicing, Blowing Fibre would be an advantage

• Must be proactive and a self-starter
• Able to think on your feet and be a problem solver
• Adequate Technical/field and administration Experience of at least 1 year.
• Should have completed First Aid, Traffic Control, STMS, WTC1 and WTC3, WHITE CARD, Risk Management etc.
• Team Player
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A NZ or Australian citizen or NZ work visa to be considered for the role.
