Laing Properties Ltd is a successful family-owned Canterbury Building and Relocation business who have just celebrated 40 years in business!
We offer a range of housing solutions for the wider Canterbury market including New Onsite Homes, New Transportable Homes and Relocation of Second-hand homes.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy team as a New Home Consultant. We are looking for a salesperson to grow our market in the new transportable & new onsite build area.
You will be confident, goal orientated, well-spoken person who loves to help others and go the extra mile, so our clients have a great experience from the first meeting until they are handed the keys to their new home.
The Role:- Identify sales opportunities.
- Following up leads generated from prospects visiting the website and / or display homes.
- Utilize Company CRM system to log actions and activities for lead opportunities
- Understanding and assessing client needs and providing suitable solutions with standard or custom plans.
- Presenting personalized proposals to the client, ensuring that all proposals and variations are communicated and accurate.
- Following up with clients on a regular basis and making any changes required.
- Presenting contract documents to the customer and ensuring that they fully understand what they are signing.
- Securing initial deposits from clients.
- Act as the main point of contact, providing on-going support to clients up until project commencement and handover to project Manager.
- Supporting marketing initiatives
- High energy and dynamic.
- An inquisitive nature and the ability to build long lasting relationships.
- The ability to work autonomously and be organized and self-managing.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Computer and numeracy skills
- Well presented, positive and a warm friendly people person
- A team player
- Preference will be given to those with experience in the building industry or an understanding and passion for the building industry.

Remuneration will be based to suit the individual and their experience and will be a salaried retainer + commission role.
This role will be fulltime, 8.30am to 5pm (A minimum of 42.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday with weekend work by appointment.
