As the Switch Connect Team Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing and supporting our Christchurch Connect team to achieve established business targets; provide exceptional client service and drive business growth in collaboration with our key stakeholders.

The Role:As the Switch Connect Team Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing and supporting our Christchurch Connect team to achieve established business targets; provide exceptional client service and drive business growth in collaboration with our key stakeholders.
Providing technical planning, project management and personnel coordination and leadership, this is a diverse and rewarding opportunity for an experienced leader to shine within the Civtec team.
As the Switch Connect Team Manager you'll be responsible for the following:- Overseeing, leading and coordinating structured crews ensuring assigned work is completed as per the design, and work completed meets industry and Civtec standards.
- Overseeing, leading and coordinating the assure work to ensure restoration and associated tasks (civil and technical) and tube faults are completed as per the design and, meets industry and Civtec standards.
- Supporting the efficient and effective running of the South Island Customer and Works department.
- Provide direction and expertise to ensure the continued operation of the Enable network by responding to network faults within established SLA's.
- Actively communicating with all stakeholders (team members, management, clients) to provide accurate information in a timely manner.
- Completing quality and site audits/inspections and work with the team to take any necessary corrective action as required.
- Ensuring customer and internal issues are managed and resolved within the agreed SLA, by providing technical direction and support; escalate issues as appropriate to the manager or key stakeholders.
- Liaising with Civtec team, regulatory bodies and the public on project developments and milestones as required. Providing information and supporting internal and external reporting requirements.
- Managing and monitoring staff performance and taking corrective action taken when required. Mentoring and educating teams on site to improve efficiencies and quality of delivery.
- Scheduling and overseeing prestart documentation, permits, quality assurance, and compliance documentation to ensure completion is as required. Including overseeing others to ensure satisfactory completion of all required.
- Monitoring operational performance using powerBI and other reporting suites.
- Supporting Night work planning and completion.
- Supporting with coaching, investigation, and disciplinary processes at all times enforcing Civtec Policies and Procedures.
- Undertaking all technician field activities (inc. fibre install) and machine operation as required to complete works.
- Undertaking other tasks/reasonable requests to support the overall Civtec business as required from time to time.
- Minimum 5 years industry experience with strong technical experience.
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience essential.
- Sound knowledge and experience of the Enable Network in relevant disciplines (ie. New installs and remediation).
- Competent in using a variety of computer software (eg. MS Platforms; RESCO; iAuditor; Dynamics)
- Competent in undertaking advanced testing; using splicing equipment and other tools and machinery required for the role.
- New Zealand Class 1 Full Drivers Licence
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking the following duties – underfloor and ceiling installation work; manually digging, potholing, carrying reasonable loads and other physical tasks.
