Retail Assistant

Employment Type: Full-Time (40-50 hours per week)

We are a vibrant cake shop known for our delicious, freshly baked cakes and treats. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team. If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a love for baked goods, and are available to work weekends based on a rotating roster, this role could be perfect for you!

• Greet and assist customers with their orders, offering product recommendations.
• Operate the POS system, process payments, and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain a clean and inviting shop environment.
• Assist with the display and merchandising of cakes, pastries, and other items.
• Support the team with packaging orders and managing stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Assist in keeping inventory records and restocking as necessary.

• Prior retail or customer service experience (preferred).
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays, as per a rotating roster.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work between 40 to 50 hours per week.
• Enthusiasm for cakes, pastries, and sweet treats!
