New Business Development/Sales Representative

Kiwi Pallets is looking for an experienced salesperson to join our team.
You will be primarily on the hunt for new business in the Auckland Area and sometimes the wider Upper North Island.
We need someone that is willing to devote 80% of their time to new business and sales. The other 20% will be maintaining existing customers.
We want someone that achieves excellent results with finding new business and converting leads to sales. Someone that is motivated and hungry to make sales!
You will be responsible for locating, developing and creating sales for timber pallets, crates and dunnage. You will find new and existing customers growing our Upper North Island customer base.
You will have to meet forecasted targets and effectively increase revenue for the company through new and existing sales.
You must create custom solutions for customer specific needs and requirements.
You must be a good planner of weekly call cycles and have a good understanding of structure with time efficiency.

Build rapport and trust with customers, while at the same time, resolve customer disputes effectively. You must be aware of key drivers of customers business, anticipate future needs of customers and identify key decision makers within customer companies.

Must have a good understanding of quoting processes and sales reporting.

Previous experience working with pallets is not essential and all training to confidently complete the role will be provided.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our team. A big part of this role involves expanding our customer base through cold calling, hunting down new business opportunities and closing deals. Maintaining and nurturing relationships with our existing customers will be a small part of this role.

As our Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for covering the Lower North Island region. We’re seeking a true “hunter”, someone who’s willing to devote 80% of their time to generating new business and driving sales growth. You’ll be out in the field, meeting clients, building relationships, and closing deals.

Your focus will be on expanding our customer base, introducing new product lines to existing customers, and being a driving force behind our continued growth.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Focuses sales efforts, and time, to generating new business.
  • Establishes new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to call on potential customers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products and their marketing and selling techniques.
  • Services existing accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing customers.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, delivery schedules and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing personal networks, attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
