Here at Griffin’s Snacks, we’re proud of our heritage and being New Zealand’s largest snack food company, producing many iconic kiwi brands, including Griffin’s, Huntley and Palmers, ETA and Nice & Natural.
We’re looking for a Part Time Merchandiser role working a guaranteed 12 hours per week (with the opportunity to pick up additional hours in a range of areas including sampling, relays, covering leave and peak season support) at three stores in Queenstown.
Reporting to the Territory Manager, the successful candidates will be a brand ambassador in stores and will play a key role within our Sales team – ensuring that our much-loved products are looking amazing on shelf and are in easy reach, so our customers can purchase and enjoy their favourite snacks all year round!
Locations and hours:
Pak'n'Save Queenstown, New World Queenstown & Woolworths Queenstown - Total: 12 hours- Monday: 5:00am - 7:30am @Pak'n'Save Queenstown
- Tuesday: 6:00am
- 7:00am @Pak'n'Save Queenstown, then 7:15am
- 8:15am New World Queenstown
- Wednesday: 6:00am - 8:00am @Pak'n'Save Queenstown
- Thursday: 6:00am
- 7:30am @Pak'n'Save Queenstown, then 7:45am
- 8:45am New World Queenstown
- Sunday: 7:00pm
- 9:00pm @New World Queenstown, then 9:15pm
- 10:15pm @Woolworths Queenstown
- Unloading pallets and restocking shelves (this could involve lifting boxes of up to 20kg and working at heights)
- Checking pricing and best before dates, rotating and moving stock as needed
- Following plans/planograms to ensure all product is laid out as per guidelines
- Building promotional displays
- Creating strong working relationships in store
- Providing feedback from a store level and sharing new ideas/suggestions with your leader
- Previous merchandising experience isn’t required but would be an extra tick!
- Your own car and driver's license (that will allow you to legally drive at the times needed to get to/from your shifts)
- Accountability, honesty and reliability - if you say you will be there you'll be there and can be trusted to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Attention to detail – you like to get things right the first time and always double check your work
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and make it happen
- Passion and interest in our company and products – you’ve been known to enjoy a good snack!
- Positivity and a solutions-focused approach– nothing is ever a problem
