Carpenter

C H L C LIMITED in Auckland. We are looking for several experienced carpenters to join us. This is a full time role with minimum 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and other construction materials, and cut, shape and fit timber parts to support the consturction projects.

Tasks Include:

Studying building plans and drawings to determine materials dimensions and installation procedures.

Planning, ordering, and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts.

Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape.

Assembling and nailing the prepared wood parts to form structures and fittings.

Erecting and installing wall roof staircases and window framing and boards.

Nailing fascia panels sheathing roofs and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames.

Constructing building frames and installing cladding on the inside and outside of buildings.

Removing and repairing existing fittings.

The successful candidate must have:

• At least two years, ideally three years of relevant work experience OR NZ Level 4 relevant Certificate qualification or equivalent.
• Good work attitude and good communication skills
• Strong motivation
• Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload
• Quality workmanship and eye for detail
• Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.
• Strong ability to work independently
