We are looking to employ a permanent NZ registered midwife with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team, primarily covering staff leave and assisting during times of peak capacity.
We have 500 births a year and we can promise that your core midwifery role will be busy and varied - so no two days will be the same. The best thing is that our service is midwifery led so you will get tobe a midwife practising in all the areas you love!
About the Team/Service
The midwifery team at Wairau is awesome! Our midwifery led service has close collegial relationships with our Obstetric and Paediatric teams too. The team not only makes such a positive work environment to be in - they love to get together for social activities too!You will be guaranteed to receive a very warm welcome into our team.

As a midwife you will be able to use all of your clinical, time management and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care.You will be an important member of maternity service and support us to achieve the broader organisational health care objectives.
