Chef de Partie - Christchurch

We are looking for 2 Chef de Parties to join our team in Canterbury Region in New Zealand.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Planning Menus, Estimating Food and Labour Costs and
- Check any short falls in stock or ordering needed for the next
- Discuss Food preparation issues with Manager, Dietitians,
- Ensure individual responsibilities are ready to meet daily,
- Ensure the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality
- Ensure each component of a dish prepared is up to standard
- Prepare and cook raw materials to the required standard.
- Follow recipes and instructions carefully.
- Clean preparation & service areas daily & other areas as
- Be familiar with and follow the Food Control Plan.
- Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet
- Offer ideas for new dishes and, when invited, submit new
- May Select and Train Staff and Treat all staff fairly and with
- May Freeze and Preseve Foods
- Ensure all statutory, as well as establishment, hygiene
regulations are strictly adhered to
Candidate Requirements:-- Be Honest and Reliable
- Ability to work on Weekends and rostered shifts
- Be punctual
- Be Drug free
- Clean Criminal History
- Great cooking skills and attention to detail
- Overall knowledge about food production and presentation
- Knowledge of prevailing regulations on Hygiene
- At least 2 Years of Relevant Work Experience OR
(minimum level 4).
Hours and Position:-- It is full time permanent job with minimum 30 hours per
week.
Pay Rate:-- $25 to $30 per hour
