About the Role

We are excited to seek applications from experienced mental health practitioners for our new mental health Rehabilitation Clinician.

This brand-new role will assist in delivering our therapeutic group programme based in our rehabilitation centre on site.

The group programme will be delivered for community based whai ora who have serious mental health /or addiction needs as part of their treatment recovery programme and will cover aspects such as social vocational skills, medication self-management, healthy lifestyles, self-regulation and mindfulness and cultural connectedness among others.

We will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to:

  • Utilise clinical skills in planning and delivering therapeutic groups from a best practice and recovery centred approach.
  • Provide specialist advice and education to whai ora, their whanau.
  • Contribute as part of the wider MDT in providing holistic wellbeing and recovery orientated programmes

About you

Successful candidates will be:

  • health practitioners with current APCs and scope of practice to enable working in mental health and addiction services (Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker);
  • At least 2-5 years' experience in acute and/or community based mental health /or addiction services, preferably with strong rehabilitation knowledge and experience;
  • Excellent clinical knowledge base and adept ability to provide psychoeducation for whai ora, whanau and health care providers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be a good team player, demonstrate leadership skills and positively contribute to service delivery;
