About the Role The Programme Director- Roster to Pay programme is responsible for delivering all aspects of the Roster to Pay Programme. It is a full-time fixed-term Programme Director role, can be based anywhere in New Zealand, and reports directly to the Head of National People Services.
It is a senior leadership role, delivering a complex program of work including the implementation of multiple new payroll systems and developing business cases for rostering and HRIS. You will be responsible for the financial management of the programme and reporting to the governance group.
This role will provide leadership to project managers, communicate with stakeholders, as well as develop collaborative relationships with our vendors. This role offers the flexibility to be based anywhere in New Zealand, with a hybrid working model that includes a mix of working from home and time in the office.
Some travel will be required from time to time, depending on the needs of the role. This is a fixed-term position expected to run for approximately 2 years. About the Team/Service/ Location You will be leading a team of a Programme Coordinator, Project Managers, and Business Analysts; however, the structure will grow as the programmes of work are initiated.
It is expected that the team will be distributed across New Zealand, so experience managing a team of remote workers will be important. This is a newly formed team, so we will provide you with the opportunity to develop the operating rhythm and team culture from the beginning.
This is an opportunity to lead, mentor, and support a team in a complex, collaborative, and fast-paced environment while contributing to the ongoing success of the organisation. About you You are a qualified Programme Director with extensive experience in the successful delivery of large, complex multi-system projects, preferably HR, Payroll, and Rostering systems within organisations of more than 2500 employees.
It is expected that you will have a minimum of 7 years of senior project management experience in large organisations. Experience working with Unions is required. You will have experience in business case writing, reporting to governance groups and executive teams, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to meeting deadlines.
As well, you will have: A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification in Programme Management or Business, Human Resources, Finance or Information Management Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
