  • System Leadership group at NZTA Waka Kotahi.

This is a pivotal role.

You will be developing the strategic Māori Crown partnership programme and ensuring our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi / the Treaty of Waitangi, obligations to Māori and Māori outcomes are embedded in our strategy, policy, long term investment planning and data and analytics.

You will provide thought leadership from a te ao Māori perspective, working closely with the Pou Matua National Māori Manager and other teams to drive positive outcomes for Māori in the land transport system.
This role will have you lead the implementation of Te Ara Kotahi (Māori Strategy) by giving strategic advice across our business groups whilst also integrating Te Ara Kotahi into our strategic frameworks like Te Kāpehu and Arataki.
This role is internal facing, and the Māori-Crown partnerships team's function is to provide advice and drive the long-term strategic direction.
Delivery and relationships with iwi/Māori are developed through the respective business groups.
A key piece of work of the Māori-Crown partnership team will be to develop a Māori outcomes and monitoring framework for NZTA Waka Kotahi as one of its priorities.
