Ground anchoring & soil nailing driller.
You must be motivated and result driven. We can train skills but not attitude, you need to bring the positive attitude with you. You might be asked to work across the North Island to assist with our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.
The Driller is responsible for:
- Knowledge of drilling for ground anchors and soil nailing installation.
- Knowledge of off siding for driller.
- Demonstrate an active commitment to Grouting Services Health & Safety and Environmental Policies. Ensure a safe workplace is maintained.
- Have a knowledge of plant preparation and servicing as well as basic plant care and maintenance. With experience and proficiency, prepare and maintain plant and equipment needed for a particular stressing, grouting or drilling operation.
- Ability / Experience with work site inspections regarding project progress, equipment condition, and safety or to ensure that specifications and standards are met.
- Provide assistance to workers engaged in ground anchoring, soil nailing operations including fabrication, grouting and stressing activities.
- Provision for protection of all works.
- With experience proficiency read specifications site drawings to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures, set out drill hole locations.
- With experience proficiency, keep daily logs and other reports as required, for example drilling logs, post-tensioning stressing reports, grout materials usage and samples for grout testing.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. “A place for everything and everything in its place.”
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience required:
- 2+ year drilling experience OR off siding experience preferred but not compulsory
- Any relevant drilling qualification is preferred but not compulsory
- Driver’s licence is essential
- Friendly, with good time management, & excellent work ethic are essential
- Time management skills
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
- Sound knowledge of H&S procedures
- Reliable and hardworking
Pay conditions Min $29.66 per hour to a maximum of $60.00 per hour
Hours of work Minimum 40 hours of work per week is guaranteed
Location You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu and Wellington.
