About the Role

In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support to the Allied Health Hub, ensuring the smooth coordination of services such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Health Psychology, and the Allied Response Team. You'll play a key part in managing referrals, booking clinics, maintaining accurate data, and supporting communication between patients, whanau, and health professionals.

Your ability to stay organised, manage multiple systems, and provide excellent customer service will help keep the hub running efficiently. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment that plays a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare services across the region.

About the Service

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and we're growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration, and that values the contribution of each team member.

Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards as part of Allied Health, and we're happy to support other teams to ensure their success.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience as an Administrator or a Receptionist as well as:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and therapists
  • Excellent time management and administration skills, including being technologically savvy
  • Have a friendly and welcoming personality
  • Ability to speak Te Reo is preferred, but the ability to learn Te Reo is welcomed
