Debarking Operations Assistant

Love working with heavy machinery? This is a hands-on role that combines machine operation with mobile plant use - keeping our debarking machine running and turning out high-quality product for export.
In this role, you’ll operate the loader, run the Debarker machine, and assist with key maintenance tasks. It’s a crucial position in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and safety. If you’re practical, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in operating machinery, this is the role for you!
**What You’ll Be Doing:**- Operate the L180H pivot loader to keep logs moving through the debarking machine
- Run the Debarker machine to process logs for export
- Keep the site clear of bark and by-products for smooth operations
- Perform daily maintenance and assist with plant and equipment repairs
- Work closely with the team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
**Shift Schedule:**
This role operates on a month-on/month-off rotational schedule with morning and afternoon shifts (8–12 hours per shift, depending on volumes).
**What We’re Looking For:**- Loader experience – At least 1 year (pivot loader experience preferred)
- Experience working with logs – An advantage but not essential
- Class 2 Driver’s Licence required – Forklift (F endorsement) & WTR endorsements are a plus
- Practical, reliable & safety-focused
