Join our team as a Catering Assistant at Massey University, Manawatu, where you'll utilize your skills and appropriate equipment to deliver a quality catering service to our customers, residents, patients, or clients on a daily basis. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and the utilization of all safety equipment and procedures provided by Compass Group.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating for service.
• Maintain clean and tidy dining/kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping floors, and handling waste.
• Deliver professional customer service with a warm, friendly, and welcoming style.
• Adhere to site food safety plans and ensure compliance with food handling standards.
• Communicate effectively in the workplace, receiving and relaying information, and following routine instructions.

• Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
• Good communication skills and a flexible approach and attitude.
• Physically fit, reliable, and hard-working.
• Experience in a similar role and a commitment to maintaining high standards of personal presentation.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as required by the Supervisor or Manager.
