About the Role (your why)
The Senior Consultant - Business Performance & Insights plays a crucial role in delivering data, analytics, insights, guidance and business intelligence about the products and services which are delivered by Datacom’s Infrastructure Products Line of Business.
The role is responsible for providing specialised insights and guidance on cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity and data centre product data, utilising in-depth technical knowledge of these services to assist with ensuring all activity, services and products are financially viable and continually optimised for the business.The Senior Consultant thrives on data led conversations and the insights this ever-growing data provides to assist with the efficient running the business.
They lead and contribute to the successful execution of projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards. Additionally, the senior consultant works closely with clients, team members and the wider business to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions, while staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field to continuously improve and innovate services.
This position requires a deep understanding of these domains and the ability to apply advanced technical skills to solve complex problems and would be suitable for infrastructure technical leads looking to extend their skill sets.
What you’ll do- Provide consultancy and guidance on the product data being generated to support the Infrastructure Products Line of Business and identify opportunities to provide better crafted and cost optimised products.
- Support a team of Product Data & Analytics consultants by providing knowledge, support and best practices for product data analytics.
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within cost and in line with agreed quality standards and client requirements.
- Identify and analyse business requirements and provide the most effective and efficient technical solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and provide production support of Infrastructure Products data warehousing and reporting applications.
- Support the wider Infrastructure Products team with data insights to ensure data led decisions are made.
- A minimum of 7 years of technical consulting or operational management experience with cloud computing, networks, cybersecurity or data centres specialisation, including at least 2 years of experience in data warehousing and business intelligence would be beneficial.
- Excellent knowledge of infrastructure products concepts and issues, with the capability to blend these with skills in data modelling and data visualisation to provide data driven outcomes to the business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide and influence senior management effectively.
- Possess advanced problem-solving and consulting skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and align them with client business goals and objectives.
- A solid working knowledge and understanding of relational database administration and associated database management issues.
Please note that due to the nature of the clients this role will be working with, this position is only open to NZ citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain NZ government security clearances.
