Retail Manager

We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to oversee our store’s daily operations, drive sales, and ensure outstanding customer service.

About the Role

As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the store runs efficiently while leading a team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Set sales targets, store budget levels, analyse sales data, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, loss prevention measures, merchandising, and financial transactions.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies and build relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products
  • Responsible for determining pricing, and marketing strategies, including store displays and promotions, social media, events etc
  • Ensure compliance with company and government policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Staff, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback and complaints.
What We’re Looking For
  • Relevant tertiary level qualification or at least two years of relevant work experience in the retail/Warehouse industry handling food products.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A solid understanding of sales, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and implement effective strategies.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks.
