Content Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our awesome Marketing team based in the Wanaka office. You will be responsible for leading content creation and optimisation across Fine Tours Group’s digital ecosystem. This role is central to improving how we attract, engage, and convert high-intent audiences by elevating the quality and visibility of both on-site and off-site content.
Working across FTG’s brands and markets, this role will deliver engaging, SEO-optimised storytelling, support growth through content partnerships, and ensure that our experiences are discoverable, shareable, and enriched with media and insights that inspire travellers at every stage of their journey.

The role:
- Lead the planning, creation, and optimisation of high-performing content across FTG’s channels
- Write and edit compelling copy across landing pages, campaigns, emails, video scripts, and blogs — maintaining consistency in voice and tone
- Optimise key website pages by embedding rich media, dynamic elements, and user-generated content to enhance engagement, build trust, and drive conversions
- Drive organic visibility and referral traffic by creating off-site content in collaboration with media, tourism boards, and aligned partners
- Develop and manage a centralised content calendar across web, email, social, and partner campaigns
- Leverage AI tools to streamline ideation and editing while ensuring human oversight and brand alignment
- Implement SEO best practices including metadata, internal linking, structured data, and on-page hierarchy
- Track and report on content performance using GA4, Looker Studio, and Search Console — driving continuous improvement based on insights
- 3+ years in content marketing, SEO, or digital communications roles
- Experience planning and creating content across owned and earned media
- Experience in the travel sector preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of SEO and technical SEO tools (e.g. SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
- Experience using AI content tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO, or similar) to support content creation workflows
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress), analytics tools (e.g. GA4), and content planning frameworks
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Communications preferred
- Clear and compelling writing skills adaptable to a variety of formats and tones

This is a full time (40 hours) permanent position, based in Wanaka, New Zealand.
